Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Medical Assistant (MA) Job in Houston, TX

The Certified Nurse Assistant will provide basic patient care under the direction of the Vohra Physician and SNF Wound Care Nurse. This involves assisting with all aspects of Wound Care, providing Wound Care Education, and preparing patients for treatment.

Wound Care knowledge is helpful but not essential. Vohra Physicians will provide Wound Care training and certification.

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) in good standing with the State.
• Ability to relate positively to facility staff, patients/residents, and families, working cooperatively with others.
• Must meet all local health regulations and pass any required physical exams, criminal background checks, and reference inquiries.
• Must maintain regular attendance, including traveling daily to partner facilities.
• Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Vohra Physician during bedside rounds as needed.
• Coordinate with SNF staff to troubleshoot and facilitate efficient rounds.
• Assist the SNF wound care nurse with patient care tasks, including incontinence care, patient positioning, dressing application, and skin exams.
• Take notes during rounds, documenting wound measurements, locations, and treatment plans.
• Support telemedicine visits, including camera use for video conferences.
• Help obtain written consent for procedures when required.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $21.00 per hour
