Join us at Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Med Surg and benefit from loan forgiveness and a $6,000 sign-on bonus. This is a full-time night shift position located in East Los Angeles.

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) supports nursing staff by performing direct patient care duties. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and elimination, ensuring patient safety, maintaining a clean environment, stocking supplies, operating hospital equipment, and performing clerical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record patient weights and vital signs accurately. Recognize and report changes in patient condition, document activities, and secure patient belongings.
• Assist patients with hygiene, elimination, skin care, comfort, and Activities of Daily Living (ADL), respecting patient privacy, culture, and preferences. Maintain infection control and HIPAA compliance.
• Support patient care activities such as specimen collection, turning and positioning, and transportation, under the direction of licensed nurses.
• Engage in caring behaviors, demonstrate ownership of work, and use independent judgment responsibly.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior patient care experience
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in CA
• AHA Basic Life Support certification
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Effective communication skills in English
• Customer service skills
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only)

Preferred: Bilingual skills are a plus.

Additional Information

To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, candidates must have at least one year of experience. Bonus is paid over 12 months and some restrictions apply. Current hospital employees are not eligible.

Pay rate ranges from $22.80 to $30.70 per hour.
