Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Nurse Aide (CNA) at our 34429 Davie Medical Center - Nursing Med Surg: Medical Unit. The role supports direct patient care on a 36-hour week schedule with 3x12hr shifts, including every 3rd weekend and a mandatory holiday schedule.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, Nurse Aide in good standing and BCLS. Strong communication and adaptability are essential for providing safe, age-appropriate care under RN supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, And/or REGISTRATION

• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry in which the team member practices.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Essential Functions

• Participates in the implementation of the nursing process by giving direct care to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).
• Performs special procedures correctly under the direction of Registered Nurse (RN).
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, co-workers, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely communication of patient information.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients and family members in an effective, positive and professional manner.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development.
• Provides age/developmental appropriate patient care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
