Job summary

Atrium Health seeks a part-time PRN Nurse Aide for the 34517 Davie Medical Center - Critical Care: Emergency Room. This role supports RN-led care, performs essential nursing procedures, and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include accurate communication of patient information and professional, compassionate interactions with patients, families, and the care team; requires initiative and ongoing development in the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, And/or REGISTRATION

• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry in which the team member practices.


• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Essential Functions

• Participates in the implementation of the nursing process by giving direct care to patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).


• Performs special procedures correctly under the direction of Registered Nurse (RN).


• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, co-workers, and facility.


• Ensures complete, accurate and timely communication of patient information.


• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients and family members in an effective, positive and professional manner.


• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development.


• Provides age/developmental appropriate patient care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
