Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking qualified individuals to join our team. No experience necessary to start your healthcare career with us! We offer Certified Nursing Assistant classes at no cost to help you obtain your certification.

Our Certified Nursing Assistants provide high-quality care for long-term care residents. We are looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals to join our team in a friendly small-town setting.

Weekend and shift differentials are available. Weekend and Holiday rotations are required.

Starting hourly wage is $21.30, based on experience.

Night Shift hours are 10pm to 6:30am.

Qualifications:

1. Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
2. Previous healthcare experience preferred but training is available.
3. Genuine interest in geriatrics.
4. Ability to follow individual care plans to provide quality resident care.
5. Assist residents with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, mobility, and other activities of daily living (ADLs), attending to their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
6. Communicate positively with residents and respond appropriately to their behaviors.
7. Work collaboratively with team members for the benefit of residents and the facility.
8. Know safety and emergency procedures related to long-term care facilities.
9. Practice infection control procedures.
10. Exercise independent judgment and maintain emotional stability under stress.
11. Be flexible to handle changing situations and emergencies.
12. Maintain strict confidentiality.
13. Perform moderate to heavy physical work, including standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting over 25 pounds.
