Summary

Vighter recruits healthcare professionals (HCPs) to conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to individuals detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). HCPs work under the Regional Program Manager and Regional Deputy Program Manager, with medical direction from the National Medical Director and Physician Supervisors, in compliance with DHS directives.

HCPs work alongside CBP Agents/Officers at various border locations near Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Florida. They must be capable of providing care for all ages, including infants, children, adults, and pregnant women, in detention settings with minimal facilities or secure detention facilities. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse populations in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience and licensed/certified as a CNA.
  • Successful completion of an accredited US-based CNA training program.
  • Current, active, valid, unencumbered healthcare license/registration in the work state.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA, American Red Cross, or ASHI.
  • Experience in detention, correctional, or pediatric healthcare is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred but not required.

  • Compliance with DHS, CBP policies, and federal regulations.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate records.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and perform clinical procedures.
  • Ability to work in stressful, austere environments and in various settings.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work various shifts including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Pass a criminal background check and urine drug screening.
