P2C is a fast-paced 18-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit providing exceptional care to a diverse and complex adult patient population. The unit specializes in general surgical cases with a focus on neurological and vascular conditions, and also offers a wide range of medical care, particularly for stroke patients. Maine Medical Center is recognized by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and the P2C team is proud to be certified to care for this population. The unit features telemetry monitoring for both surgical and medical patients. We seek individuals dedicated to outstanding patient care, innovative ideas, and fostering a positive team environment.
Our team includes new Certified Nursing Assistants beginning their careers and experienced patient care technicians. We value diversity, inclusivity, professional development, and personal growth. Position Summary:
Under the supervision of Registered Professional Nurses and according to policies and procedures, performs service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Responsibilities may vary by assignment, and consideration of patient-specific needs and behaviors is essential.
