This is a per diem position working various hours a week.

Position Overview

At Samaritan Healthcare, we are dedicated to providing healthcare services to our community and committed to creating a supportive work environment for our employees. This role involves assisting licensed Registered Nurses (RN) in providing basic patient care, aligned with Washington State’s Laws Relating to Nursing Care and Health Care Assistants.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Providing basic patient care such as bathing, vital signs, mobility assistance, and specimen collection.
  • Maintaining supplies and equipment, and supporting clerical functions as needed.
  • Ensuring safety and infection control standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current Washington State CNA certification.
  • CPR certification at the Healthcare Provider level.
  • Preferred: Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification and previous CNA experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform patient care tasks for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength to assist with patient mobility and emergencies.

Additional Information:

  • In lieu of benefits, receive an additional 12% - 15% differential.
  • Work closely with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal care.
