This position assists licensed Registered Nurses (RN) in basic patient care, aligned with standards and Washington State laws. The individual reports to the Charge Nurse, RN, Department Director, or POE Care Manager, working closely with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

This is a part-time day shift position working 7:00am - 7:30pm on various days, totaling 24 hours weekly, with rotating weekends.

Specific Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges.
  • Manage inventory and supplies using Meditech; assist with stocking.
  • Support nursing staff with clerical tasks and communications.
  • Perform basic patient care duties: bathing, toileting, vital signs, mobility, etc.
  • Maintain professional growth through seminars and affiliations.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent injuries.
  • Comply with organizational policies and maintain courteous interactions.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct.

Qualifications (not limited to):

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current Washington State CNA certification.
  • Current Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.
  • Preferred: CNA experience in healthcare, minimum one year for specialty departments.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, reaching, bending, etc.
  • Manual dexterity; ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Strength for CPR, lifting, and pushing/pulling as needed.
  • Good vision and communication skills.
