Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA - Hospice - FT - Dayshift

As a Full Time Hospice Aide, you will be eligible for:

As a Hospice Aide/ Certified Nursing Assistant, you will:

  • Report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director or Patient Care Manager and function under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Clinical Supervisor.
  • Help the patient to maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Prepare and serve light meals.
  • Assist in feeding patient when needed.
  • Assist the patient in ambulation.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks.
  • Assist with certain treatments as ordered on the aide plan of care.
  • Promote patient’s mental alertness through involvement in activities.
  • Provide basic emotional and psychological support to the patient and household members.
  • Report any change in the patient’s condition to the Registered Nurse.
  • Practice infection control measures.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner.
About You

Hospice Aide/ CNA Requirements:

  • Compassionate, kind and empathetic to your patients and their families.
  • Comfortable providing care wherever the patient calls “home”.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
  • Six (6) months of patient care experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology strongly preferred.
  • Current driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Current CPR certification.
