Absolute Hospice, Inc. is seeking a dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Hospice team in Thornville, Ohio. This is a full-time, weekday daytime position caring for hospice patients in home and facility settings.

Responsibilities include personal care, patient and family communication, meal assistance, and accurate vital signs monitoring, with support from case management. Ohio CNA license and driver’s license with insurance are required.

Competenze

• Must have current Ohio CNA license.
• One year experience providing patient care in a hospital, nursing facility or similar environment.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with safe driving record and proof of insurance.
• Completion of CNA courses/certifications as applicable.

• Perform personal care tasks after given a patient assignment and attend to requests promptly.
• Provide patient and family with positive communication techniques, within ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality.
• Give personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen as often as assigned.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned.
• Assist in feeding the patient as assigned.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• Observe and report on patient condition and changes to the Case Manager.

We are looking for a dependable CNA to join our Hospice team. Absolute Hospice, Inc. provides hospice services wherever the patient calls home. This position will be for a dedicated, full time schedule caring for our hospice patients, Monday-Friday, day shifts only.

• Certified and Licensed CNA Courses
• High school level coursework in English grammar, composition and mathematics.
• One year experience providing patient care in a hospital, nursing facility or similar environment. Current CNA license and demonstrates competency in direct patient care during probationary period.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with safe driving record and proof of insurance

Responsibilities of the hospice aide include:

• Performing personal care needs after given a patient's assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly.
• Providing patient and family with positive communication techniques, within realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality.
• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as assigned.
• Assisting in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• Planning and preparing nutritious meals, including shopping, as assigned.
• Assisting in feeding the patient as assigned.
• Taking and recording oral, rectal and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• Providing proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence.
• Assessing and reporting on patient's condition and significant changes to the Case Manager. Also aware of the caregiver or other individuals living with the patient and interpersonal issues.
• Assisting in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist.
• Offering and assisting with bedpans and urinals. Providing assistance as assigned with light laundry needs.
• Providing respite for patient's/family/caregiver when on-site, as appropriate.
