Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join their home health team in Michigan. The role involves traveling between patient homes to care for 7-8 patients per day, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule and a 40-hour work week.

You must hold a valid CNA certification in Michigan and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Comprehensive benefits and company vehicle support are provided.

Qualifications

• Current State certificate as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Aide.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and daily activities.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure).
• Help patients walk, transfer, and use mobility equipment safely.
• Follow each patient’s individualized care plan and report changes in condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and protect patient privacy.

• Full Time: 40 hours, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Certified Nurse Aide

As a Certified Nurse Aide, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:

• Provide hands-on personal care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other daily activities.
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
• Help patients safely walk, transfer, and use mobility equipment.
• Follow each patient’s individualized care plan.
• Monitor and report changes in a patient’s condition to the care team.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Remind patients to take medications as directed.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and follow safety and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation, protect patient privacy, and participate in required training.

What is Required?

• Current State certificate as a Home Health Aide certification or Certified Nursing Aide certification
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.
