Care Options for Kids is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides to provide one-on-one in-home care for pediatric and adult clients in Melbourne, FL area (zip 32901). Positions offer flexible scheduling and ongoing shifts, including multiple daily time blocks and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities include personal care, safety, and documentation while following RN instructions. Required Florida CNA license or 40-75 hour HHA certificate, BLS CPR, TB testing, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of home care experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour HHA certificate; BLS CPR; TB test; Alzheimer's training; DOEA approved courses.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care activities as written by the RN, including assistance with hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and transfers.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and assist with light housekeeping as needed.
• Measure intake/output, and monitor vitals (temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure).
• Keep records of health care activities and report changes to the RN.
• Observe patient changes and communicate observations to the care team.

available hours/days:

Ongoing-

8:00 AM-8:00 PM

Wednesdays/Thursdays

Every other-

8:00 AM-8:00 PM

Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Ongoing-

8:00 AM- 3:00 PM/3:00 PM- 8:00 AM

Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs)

• Perform all personal care activities contained in a written assignment by the Registered Nurse (RN) which may include, but not be limited to, assisting the patient orclient with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, andphysical transfer.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, which may includelight cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, straightening the sleeping andliving areas, washing the patient's or client's dishes or laundry, and such tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety for the patient or client.
• Measuring intake and output of fluids, andmeasure temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure.
• Keep records of personal health care activities.
• Observe appearance and gross behavioral changes in the patient or client,reporting to the Registered Nurse (RN).

Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs)

Education:High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:A minimum of 1 yearof experience in home care is preferred.

Licensure/Certification

• Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
• Current BLS CPRCertification (obtained in-person, not online)
• TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
• Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
• 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
• Assistance with Self-Administration of MedicationCEU (minimum of 2 hours)
• HIV/AIDsCEU
