Job summary

Care Options for Kids in Florida is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide one-on-one, in-home care in Stuart and nearby areas.

You will follow RN assignments, assist with personal care, monitor vitals, and maintain health records while delivering compassionate, reliable support to children and adults in the home setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in home care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care activities as assigned by the RN, including assistance with hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and transfers.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment including light cleaning and organization of living areas.
• Measure intake and output, and monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP).
• Keep records of personal health care activities.
• Observe changes and report to the RN promptly.

Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs)

• Perform all personal care activities contained in a written assignment by the Registered Nurse (RN) which may include, but not be limited to, assisting the patient orclient with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, andphysical transfer.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, which may includelight cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, straightening the sleeping andliving areas, washing the patient's or client's dishes or laundry, and such tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety for the patient or client.
• Measuring intake and output of fluids, andmeasure temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure.
• Keep records of personal health care activities.
• Observe appearance and gross behavioral changes in the patient or client,reporting to the Registered Nurse (RN).

Requirements forCertified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Home Health Aides (HHAs)

Education:High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:A minimum of 1 yearof experience in home care is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40-75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate
• Current BLS CPRCertification (obtained in-person, not online)
• TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
• Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
• 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
• Assistance with Self-Administration of MedicationCEU (minimum of 2 hours)
• HIV/AIDsCEU
