Job Description

Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care West Orange is hiring a PRN CNA (NJ HHA also qualifies)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident service plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Education: High School diploma (Springhouse); High School diploma or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village); Must successfully complete the required Springhouse’s/Arden Courts’ training.

Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner.

Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly; Previous dementia experience preferred.

License: Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program. Good standing in the state registry is required.

Certification: Other certification may be permitted in lieu of license according to state specific regulations.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances; good physical and mental health.
