For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA):

0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Unit Bio:

P3CD is a high paced 29-bed Medical Surgical unit that provides exceptional care for general medical surgical adult patients before and after surgical procedures.Our team plays a vital role in patient safety, comfort, and overall outcomes. Our nursing staff have created a culture of teamwork and collaborative skills, good communication with patients and their families, compassionate care, and cultural sensitivity. P3CD supports shared governance and empowers staff in their pursuit of excellence and professional development.

Summary:

Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.

The Certified Nursing Assistant - Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

3. Experience: CNA experience 0-6 months. On-the-job training provided.
