Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Monteagle Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under licensed supervision. You will support daily living activities, monitor resident condition, and uphold the dignity and rights of each resident in a compassionate, team-oriented setting.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with nursing staff, and adaptability to changing resident needs.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state where the facility operates.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a nursing team under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible, adaptable to change with personal integrity.
• Ability to work independently and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) per resident plan of care.
• Maintain resident room cleanliness and grooming supplies.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices.
• Record vitals, weights, intake/output, and other data.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff as requested.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interaction.
• Support resident rights and choices within care setting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
