Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant in Monteagle, TN to provide direct resident care under licensed supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support a safe, respectful environment for residents with dementia and behavioral care needs.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team under licensed nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within scope of practice and resident plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/outtake, and nutrition data.
• Respond to call lights promptly and support resident rights and comfort.
• Assist in orientation and training of staff and participate in special projects.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.

• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
