Job summary

Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation Saluda is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under nursing supervision. The CNA supports hygiene, safety, dignity, and daily activities, while documenting in the EMR and following facility policies.

Full-time evenings or days are available, with weekend hours required for some positions. CPR/BLS and FA certifications are required within specified timelines, and VA or compact licensure is expected for new grads.

Qualifications

• Diploma required for new CNA grads within 120 days of program completion.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• FA certification within 30 days of hire.
• C.NA license in VA or compact or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident care and maintain hygiene, safety, and nutritional needs.
• Support resident privacy, dignity, and choices within capability limits.
• Document ADL care, hygiene, bowel/bladder habits, and behaviors in EMR.
• Follow universal precautions and infection control standards.

Job Location and Pay

Saluda, Virginia Hiring Range $18.90 - $24.60/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Sign-On Bonus and Shift

Enhanced Rates Available! We are offering a up to $2,000 Sign on Bonus for Full Time or Part Time Night Shift positions and $4,000 for Full Time Evening Shift positions.

Job Overview

Works under the supervision of Nursing Manager, Supervisor, RN, LPN and is ultimately responsible to the Director and the Assistant Director of Nursing, as applicable. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
• Assists with ensuring hygiene, appearance, safety and nutritional needs of residents are met.
• Provides resident care and services to maintain or improve resident functional status to highest practical ability.
• Documents accurately in EMR resident's ADL care, personal hygiene, bowel and bladder habits, and behaviors.
• Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Nursing Assistant/Aid required ONLY for new CNA grads within 120 days of program completion.
• Certification: CPR/BLS (within 30 days of hire) required.
• FA (within 30 days of hire) required.
• C.NA license in the state of VA or compact required or board eligible. This primary source verification required only for new graduates without their license within 120 days of graduation.
