Primary Job Function

The primary purpose of a Certified Nursing Assistant is providing daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort of residents under supervision of a Staff Nurse.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow written/verbal care assignments and provide daily care including assisting residents with bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding, transferring, and other personal needs.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions, maintain resident rooms, and document care provided.
• Ensure safety and infection control protocols are followed, and maintain a clean environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by staff nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified by the State Department of Health (ISDH) as a CNA in good standing
• Basic computer skills
• Understanding of safe nursing practices
• Interpersonal skills including tact, patience, and confidentiality
