Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Hamden community for the 3rd shift, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. This full‑time role offers work Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday to cover our resident care needs.

As a CNA, you will assist residents with daily activities, document care, and report health changes while providing emotional support and meaningful engagement in a warm, home‑like setting.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community preferred but not required.
• Previous dementia care experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Documenting care provided and reporting changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.

We are looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home‑like environment.

Requirements

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
