Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with patient activities within the scope of the role, without administering medications or therapy or assuming independent responsibility for patient care. All duties are performed in accordance with PAM Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required by state where the hospital is located
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience: None required; 2-3 years in a hospital or skilled nursing facility preferred
