Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Kinston is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed nurses, promoting a compassionate environment and supporting activities of daily living. This role requires active CNA certification, strong communication, and teamwork skills to serve residents in a 106-bed facility.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state of operation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently with integrity when coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADLs within the scope defined by state regulation and resident plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms regularly.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and food consumption as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents; support comfort and safety.
• Respect and uphold resident rights and choices within the care setting.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff as requested.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
