Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Kinston is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under licensed supervision. You will support a compassionate environment, assist with ADLs, transfers, vital signs, and daily tasks while promoting resident rights and comfort.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and strong patient-focused service in a 106-bed facility offering rehabilitation and long-term care. Evening shift offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents.
• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, and measurements, intake and output, and food consumption.
• Routinely turn and position residents and support resident rights.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
