Signature HealthCARE of Norfolk is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential ADL support and compassionate care in a busy nursing facility. You will work on the 3pm–11pm shift, ensuring residents receive timely assistance, grooming, and comfort.

Qualifications
- Must have current, active CNA certification from the state of operation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team.
- Customer service oriented and able to work under pressure.
- Able to adapt to change and be flexible.
Responsibilities
- Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
- Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident room.
- Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
- Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other information.
- Routinely turn and position residents as needed.
- Support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
- Respond promptly to call lights and assist residents.
- Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
- Handle other duties and projects as assigned.

- Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
- Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
- Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
- Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
- Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
- Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
- Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
- Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
