Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. You will support activities of daily living, monitor health indicators, and help maintain a compassionate, respectful environment for residents.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and high-quality care within our resident-focused facility.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing Assistant certification in the state of operation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a nursing team under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADLs and daily living support within the resident's care plan.
• Change bed linens and maintain supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate, transfer residents, and use assistive devices safely.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and meals as assigned.
• Turn and position residents; respond to call lights promptly.
• Support resident rights and facilitate a compassionate environment.
• Assist in orientation and training of staff; participate in special projects.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
