Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Monteagle, TN seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to perform direct resident care under licensed staff supervision and to promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment. You will support ADLs, vital signs, transfers, and daily care while upholding resident rights and facility standards.

The role offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus, weekend shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have integrity and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment.
• Provide ADLs within scope of practice per resident plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other data.
• Routinely turn and position residents.
• Respect resident rights and choices within care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
• Answer call lights promptly and assist residents.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Take on special projects and duties as assigned.

How You Will Make a Difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
