Job description

· Completion of an accredited training program for Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Illinois

· BLS Certification required or willingness to obtain within 3 months

EXPERIENCE:

· CNA minimum 1 year preferred

SKILLS:

· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

· Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate EMR programs

· Ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

NATURE OF WORK:

Provides direct, indirect, and restorative resident patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Assists residents with activities of daily living, provides personal care and comfort, and maintains a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of residents. Performs duties such as answering call lights, assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding patients, transporting patients, assisting in walking and transferring, repositioning bedfast patients, changing bed linens, taking and recording vital signs, monitoring food and fluid intake/output, and cleaning patient rooms.
