Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Emergency Department (PRN/Casual) (Mid-Shift)

Join OrthoNebraska as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Emergency Department. We are dedicated to creating an inspired healthcare experience by providing personalized care and promoting safety and quality in our services.

Position Summary

The CNA will assist patients with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, report changes, perform EKGs, apply medical equipment, stock supplies, chart in the EHR, and maintain a safe environment. Responsibilities may evolve, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Details
  • Status: Casual / PRN
  • Shift: Mids (11 am - 11 pm)
  • FTE/Hours: 0 / As Needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered CNA with the State of Nebraska
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience & Skills
  • At least 1 year customer service experience in healthcare preferred
  • Prior CNA experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, effective communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a calm bedside manner
Essential Functions
  • Provide basic patient care under RN supervision
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Perform clerical and registration tasks
  • Maintain accurate medical records and supply inventory
  • Follow safety policies and regulatory requirements
Physical Requirements

This role involves medium physical work, exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently.
