Job Description

Under the supervision of the manager, you will implement assigned non-professional programs focused on personal care, self-help, social training, recreation, cleanliness, and related activities aimed at maintaining the residents' physical, mental, emotional health, and overall well-being. You will also perform related duties as required.

General Responsibilities
  • Organize your work and develop effective methods.
  • Ensure the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents in your care.
  • Initiate and carry out recreation programs and activities suitable for residents.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
  • Follow all state and company policies and procedures.
  • Respond calmly and reasonably in emergencies, ensuring safety measures are in place.
  • Maintain order, handle minor behavioral issues, and escalate serious problems to supervisors.
  • Greet visitors courteously, escort them, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Prepare reports on programs, activities, and residents.
  • Transport residents to appointments, activities, or other facilities as needed.
  • Keep accurate records and files.
  • Perform household maintenance and cleaning as required.
  • Assist or supervise residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, grooming, bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, under the supervision of the LPN Manager.
  • Support residents with meal preparation and household tasks as directed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; minimum age 18.
  • Valid, clean New Jersey driver’s license with driving experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Aide or Homemaker-Home Health Aide in New Jersey.
