MaineHealth is offering limited-time sign-on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNA):

• $2,500 for 0-1 years of experience (full time)
• $4,000 for 1+ years of experience (full time)

Bonus eligibility applies to candidates hired into a Full or Part-time CNA position. Bonuses are prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.

Unit Bio:

Stepdown unit housing cardiothoracic surgery patients, including those awaiting or recovering from surgery. Provides Med/Surg level of care in most beds and intermediate care in IMC beds. It is a "sister" unit to CTICU, working on a bridge program to enhance critical care exposure and training for R1 team members.

Position Summary:

Under supervision of Registered Nurses, performs duties such as taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, and activities of daily living, considering the specific needs of patient populations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Participates in ongoing education relevant to the role.
• Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and listed on the Maine Registry, having completed a six-week or equivalent course.
• Experience: 0-1 year; on-the-job training provided.
