MaineHealth is offering limited-time sign-on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants (CNAs):

  • $2,500 for 0-1 years of experience (full time)
  • $4,000 for 1+ years of experience (full time)
  • Bonuses are available to candidates hired into a full or part-time CNA position; prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth employees and former employees within 6 months of separation are ineligible.

Unit Bio:

This is a 40-bed cardiac telemetry unit caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions such as NSTEMI, AFIB, Unstable Angina, Advanced Heart Failure, and LVADs.

Position Summary:

Under supervision of Registered Nurses and according to policies, performs duties like taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, and activities of daily living, considering the specific needs of patient populations.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  1. Education: Participates in relevant continuing education.
  2. License/Certifications: Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and listed on the Maine Registry, having completed a six-week or equivalent course.
  3. Experience: 0-6 months CNA experience; on-the-job training provided.
