The Cardiac Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) provides care for patients who have undergone various critical surgical procedures such as Vascular, Gastrointestinal, Liver, Renal, Renal Pancreas Transplantation, Orthopedics, Plastics, Otolaryngology, Urology, Thoracic, Surgical Oncology, Oral Maxillo-Facial, Obstetrics, and Gynecological Surgery.
Summary:
Under the supervision of Registered Professional Nurses and according to defined policies and procedures, performs service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Duties may vary by area of assignment, with consideration for the specific needs and behaviors of different patient populations.
The Certified Nursing Assistant II assists in administering nursing care to designated patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs various direct and indirect care duties.
