Avamere Rehabilitation at Ridgemont in Port Orchard, WA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for PT days, PT evenings, or FT weekend doubles (6am–10pm Sat/Sun). Wage ranges from $24.44 to $31.86 per hour, DOE.

The role involves delivering routine nursing care per care plans and supporting residents with daily activities. Qualified candidates are licensed CNAs in Washington, with a high school diploma or higher, and CPR/BLS at all times.

• Licensed CNA in the state is required.
• Must maintain CPR/BLS during employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily needs and ensure personal care is provided as per care plans.
• Review care plans and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities and accompany residents to appointments.
• Maintain a warm, patient, and cheerful environment.
• Prepare rooms and assist residents in settling in for activities.
• Communicate resident information to nurses and administration.

Job Summary

The primary responsibility as a Certified Nursing Assistant is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
• Review resident care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident’s daily care
• routine have been made on the care plan.
• Inform the nurse supervisor of any changes in the resident’s condition so that
• appropriate information can be entered on the resident’s care plan.
• Assist residents with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to/from appointments.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and foster a calm and cheerful environment.
• Ensure residents’ rooms are ready for receiving and help residents feel comfortable.
• Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
• Effectively communicate necessary resident information to charge nurses, director of nursing, and/or administrator.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Have a 10th grade education or above
• Be a licensed certified nursing assistant in this state
• Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment
• Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents
