Description

  • Earn up to $300 just for being a CNA!
  • Enjoy a $2/hr shift differential on PMs and NOCs!
  • Full-time PM (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) Shifts available
  • Part-time AM (6:00 am - 2:00 pm) and PM (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) Shifts available
  • Pay: $18.56 - $20.60 per hour (Based on Experience)

St. Elizabeth Nursing Home is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who have completed their CNA Program. If you are a compassionate and kind-hearted healthcare professional, we would love to meet you!

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with residents/patients/clients and family members/personal representatives.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
  • Attend training sessions, staff meetings, and in-services; complete required educational units annually and obtain a minimum of 12 hrs. continuing education per year.
  • Read and adhere to resident rights agreement and report any violations immediately.
  • Treat residents, families, and other staff with dignity and respect.
  • Use proper body mechanics in the performance of all tasks, maintaining a safety focus.
  • Only perform tasks in which they have been trained; will not operate equipment without proper instruction.
  • Practice universal precautions and use personal protective equipment when dealing with blood and body fluids.
  • Maintain a calm composed attitude when dealing with difficult residents, families, or staff.
  • Perform personal cares and mobility of residents as assigned and as directed in resident care plan.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain good attendance and take breaks only as assigned.
  • Work cooperatively with all disciplines.
  • Cooperate with scheduling clerk to accomplish adequate coverage for resident cares.
  • Document appropriately in the medical record and effectively utilize electronic medical record.
  • Report to team leader prior to the end of shift.
  • Performs other similar duties, as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 16 years of age.
  • Active license as a Certified Nursing Assistant with State of WI (or ability to obtain).
  • Commitment to quality programs and services for the residents/patients/clients.
  • Excellent communication and human relation skills.
  • Ability to relate well to the residents/patients/clients, family members/personal representatives.
  • Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and exhibit flexibility when needed.
  • Ability to hear communication and communicate verbally, visually, and in writing with staff and residents.
  • Tolerant of interruptions and flexible when changes occur - may be subjected to verbal or physical outbursts from residents.
