Auburn Homes and Services of Waconia, an Illuminus Community, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). We offer assisted living, memory support, and short-term rehabilitation, along with long-term skilled nursing care for older adults. Auburn Homes and Services has served Carver County since 1928, aiming to empower residents to live with purpose and passion.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Casual positions available
Shift: AM, PM, or Night shifts available
Pay Rate: Starting at $19.81 per hour
Shift Differential for PM and Night Shifts
Eligible for Sign-On Bonus

The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) performs person-centered personal cares for residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains and promotes effective communication with all individuals.
• Upholds a positive image of the community, aligned with our mission, vision, and values.
• Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.
• Assists residents with mobility, bathing, hygiene, dressing, and toileting.
• Prepares resident rooms with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and bathroom needs.
• Assists at resident mealtimes.
• Monitors resident condition and reports changes or concerns promptly to a licensed nurse.
• Documents cares provided to each resident daily before shift end.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care.
• Communicates changes in residents’ conditions to the nurse immediately and accurately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Commitment to quality outcomes and services for all individuals.
• Ability to relate well to all individuals.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Exercises independent judgment and makes sound decisions.
• Adapts to change.
• Works hours of 6:00 am - 2:00 pm on weekdays and every other weekend.

Experience and Training:

• At least 16 years old.
• Current on the Minnesota Nurse Aide Registry.
• If not certified at hire, agrees to enroll in a CNA class and become certified within 3 months.
• During orientation, enrollment in a class will be arranged if not yet certified.
