Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking compassionate, dedicated CNAs to join our Overland Park team in a full-time role. Shifts run 6am-2pm, 2-10pm, or 10pm-6am; weekends and holidays may be required.

You will assist residents with activities of daily living, transport them, respond to emergencies, and follow care plans. A Kansas CNA license and a high school diploma or equivalent are required; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• A valid Kansas CNA license is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• All state educational requirements must be met.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with elderly population preferred.
• Calm, helpful and respectful demeanor is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, personal environment).
• Transport residents within the community to activities, departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls and resident/visitor requests in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing residents with assistance in the activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment
• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining
• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner
• Reviewing and adhering to resident care plans, as well as obtaining vital signs

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Kansas is required
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met
• CPR certification preferred
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated
