Job summary

Amsterdam Nursing Home in New York City is hiring a Spanish Speaking Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for our Adult Day Care Program. This role supports resident participation in activities and coordinates care with the supervising nurse.

The position requires CNA certification, a state license, and good standing, plus the ability to work as part of a team and speak English and Spanish. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM at our facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as a team member.
• Successful completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA State Certification.
• Must be in good standing with the State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate resident participation in programming and recreational activities.
• Report health issues to the supervising nurse.
• Set up meal trays and document food/fluid intake.
• Feed residents and serve nutritional supplements.
• Transport residents within the facility.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident data.

Hours: Monday - Friday

Duties

• Facilitate resident participation in programming and recreational activities
• Reporting any health issues to the supervising nurse
• Setting up of meal trays, and documenting food/fluid intake
• Feeding Residents & serving nutritional supplements
• Transporting Residents within the Facility
• Maintaining Confidentiality of all Resident & Facility data

Requirements

• Must be able to work as a team member
• Successful completion of a CNA program
• Current CNA State Certification
• Must be in good standing with the State Registry
• Bilingual- English/Spanish
