Responsibilities

• Maintains a homelike environment and supports Resident Rights while promoting independence and control for residents.
• Provides direct care to residents to improve or maintain the resident’s abilities.
• Follows all facility policies and procedures including those related to infection control.
• Records accurate, legible information about resident care and condition in appropriate sections of residents’ records.
• Communicates with Unit Charge Nurse about assigned residents regularly throughout shift.
• Monitors safety and fire hazards and reports potential problems.
