Job summary

Maplewood Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate CNA to support residents with personalized care plans. The role emphasizes maintaining a homelike environment, upholding Resident Rights, and promoting independence.

You will provide direct care, follow infection control policies, document resident information accurately, and communicate with the Unit Charge Nurse throughout your shift. Safety monitoring and reporting hazards are also required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a homelike environment and protects Resident Rights while assisting the person to maintain independence and control to the greatest extent possible.
• Provides direct care to residents to improve or maintain the resident’s abilities.
• Follows all facility policies and procedures including those related to infection control.
• Records accurate, legible information about resident care and condition in appropriate sections of residents’ records.
• Communicates with Unit Charge Nurse about assigned residents regularly throughout shift.
• Monitors physical environment for safety or fire hazards and corrects or reports potential problems.
