Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Empath Health.

Position: CNA

Hours: 8a-5p, M-F

Location: ALF/NH

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical care to patients, including bathing, changing linens, feeding, assisting with ambulation and transfers, and supporting range-of-motion exercises and positioning.
• Reinforce dressings as needed and adhere to infection control procedures and Standard Precautions against Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Perform light housekeeping duties in patient areas, including laundry, trash disposal, meal preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, disinfecting equipment, and replenishing supplies.
• Collaborate with other Hospice team members to educate primary caregivers and families regarding physical care, disease processes, and emotional support for patients.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate from Florida State.
• Six months of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care skilled nursing facility preferred. A letter of recommendation from an instructor may be requested for candidates with no prior job experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification.
• Valid Florida driver’s license, current auto insurance coverage, and access to a reliable vehicle.
