Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (2 East) in Plymouth, MA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and support on a busy acute care unit. The role involves following supervision from RNs and performing sitter duties as required.

Hours include 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., every other weekend/holiday rotation; benefits are provided and eligibility applies to part-time staff as well.

Qualifications

• Must have MA Certified Nurse Assistant License, EMT License, or be enrolled in a nursing program with clinical hours.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification REQUIRED upon hire.
• 1–2 years CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to maintain physical comfort.
• Work under supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff.
• Perform sitter duties as needed.

UNIT DESCRIPTION

2 East is a 49bed general medical/surgical telemetry unit that provides care to adult and geriatric patients. The staff cares for patients with a wide variety of acute conditions and patients with multiple comorbidities.

MAIN FUNCTION

Responsible for personal care to provide and maintain physical comfort. Work under supervision and delegation of registered nursing staff. Will also include "Sitter" duties.

Required Experience

• High School graduate or equivalency or enrolled in a co-op program with successful completion of HS diploma within 6months.
• Current MA Certified Nurse Assistant License, EMT License, or current enrollment in a nursing program with sufficient hours of clinical rotation required.
• Excellent organizational skills and work pace consistent with working in a busy, acute care unit.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification REQUIRED upon hire.
• 1-2 years Cert. Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.

Benefits are prorated for part-time positions.

Pay Range

$18.81 - $33.00

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
