  • Full-Time Nights & Full-Time Days available
  • 12 hour shifts (7 pm-7 am & 7 am-7 pm)
  • Must be available to work every other weekend

JOB SUMMARY:

Within a restorative framework, provides basic nursing and personal care for residents. Assists residents with hygiene, mobility, toileting, eating, and participating in recreational activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with move-ins by welcoming new residents and families.
  • Assesses resident needs and provides necessary nursing care as per care plans.
  • Handles resident, family, or physician complaints, referring issues to DON as necessary.
  • Respects advance directives and provides emotional support as needed.
  • Responds to life-threatening situations based on nursing standards.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Conducts rounds with oncoming CNAs to assure continuity of care.
  • Provides direct physical care to residents.
  • Monitors residents and reports any changes to nursing staff.
  • Transports residents to and from appointments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of charting systems (Point Click Care).
  • Familiarity with patient care.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Successful completion of a State approved CNA course and competency testing.
  • Experience with the geriatric population preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year CNA experience desired.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform basic math and understand measurements.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Must meet physical requirements of the job.
