Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Winfield Facility in Winfield, KS. The CNA assists physicians and nurses to meet patients' health care needs and performs essential clinical tasks in a correctional care environment.

We offer a competitive hourly wage range ($19.00–$22.00) with full benefits, security clearance requirements, and opportunities for growth within a supportive, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certified by professional organization in the state.
• Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs, height and weight.
• Assists with PPDs and EKGs.
• Draws blood.
• Measures and records intake and output.
• Assists with patient treatments such as dressing changes, decubitus ulcer, and tracheostomy care.
• Adheres to Universal Precaution procedures and established Infection Control procedures.
• Schedules appointments. Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills.
• Is proficient with CPR and recognizes need to implement. Receive re-certification training annually.
• Assists in cleaning, sterilizing and securing of equipment.
• Follows security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
