Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring full-time Certified Nursing Assistants for the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Mississippi. Shifts are 7a–3p and 3p–11p, Monday through Friday.

Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses, taking vital signs, and providing patient care in a correctional setting. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and state CNA certification, with security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, height and weight.
• Assist with PPDs and EKGs.
• Measure and record intake and output.
• Assist with patient treatments such as dressing changes and decubitus ulcer care.
• Adhere to universal precautions and infection control procedures.
• Follow safety and security policies; participate in disaster drills.
• Maintain CPR certification through annual re-certification.
• Assist in cleaning, sterilizing and securing equipment.
• Follow procedures for keys, sharps and controlled medications.

Position Summary

Minimum Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certified by a professional organization in the state.
• Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.

Essential Functions

• Follows security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
