Job summary

Notting Hill Of West Bloomfield is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to care for residents in a skilled nursing setting in Michigan. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, support mobility, and report changes to licensed staff, while ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for each resident.

Qualifications

• Must be a CNA in good standing or graduate of an approved CNA training program and pass state competency exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs and monitor weight and meal intake.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics.
• Respond promptly to call lights and report observations to licensed staff.
• Support independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility procedures.

The Certified Nursing Assistant cares for residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensures a safe and comfortable environment, and supports licensed nursing staff in delivering individualized care in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow infection control,safety,and universal precaution guidelinesat all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment

• Makeroutine rounds on each assigned resident every two hours.
• Provides skin care andobservesresidents’skin when giving care and reports changes to licensednurse.
• Modifies own behavior in response to residents’ behaviors.
• Is aware of developmental tasks associated with the agingprocess.
• Contributes to theresidents’assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the plan of care.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Graduate/GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within120 daysof employment; nameentered intostate nurse aide registry.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Computer skills arerequired.
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.
