The Laurels of Sandy Creek/Maplewood of in Michigan is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily living activities under licensed staff and maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include direct resident care, vital signs, mobility assistance, timely documentation, infection control, and providing companionship. Requires a High School diploma or GED and state CNA certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing or a state-approved training program graduate with certification.
• Strong record of background check clearance per state/federal requirements.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, continence care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and position using proper body mechanics and lift equipment as applicable.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and in accordance with facility procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution guidelines at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment.
• Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Provides postmortem care.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Computer skills arerequired.
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.
