Job summary

The Laurels of Carson City is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our caring team in Michigan. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health, and support licensed nurses while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED required.
• Must be State Tested Nursing Assistant with license in good standing or graduate of a state approved nursing assistant program with competency exam completed within 120 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment as applicable.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and in accordance with facility procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precautions at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment.
• Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Provides postmortem care.

This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensures a safe and comfortable environment, and supports licensed nursing staff in delivering individualized care in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
