Job Overview

Responsibilities

1. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, skin care, toileting, oral and catheter care.
2. Record vital signs and conduct range of motion exercises as needed.
3. Observe and report changes in residents' conditions, behaviors, and needs.
4. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and facility policies.
5. Build rapport with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues through excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Completed a state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Current Iowa certification/registration.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Desire to work with the elderly.

Experience in a geriatric nursing facility is preferred but not required. Ideal candidates are trustworthy, respectful, dependable, professional, and effective communicators who enjoy caring for seniors.

Work Schedule

Full-time position with 8 or 12-hour shifts.
