Vernon Health and Living is a pediatric and adult community located in Wabash, IN. We are seeking a caring Certified Nursing Assistant to join our long‑term care team.

You will provide hands‑on personal care to residents, assist with daily routines, and support the nursing floor as the heartbeat of the unit. If you love helping people, this is the job for you.

Qualifications

• Current, valid CNA license in the state of practice.
• Completion of a state‑approved Nurse Aide Training program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Long-term care experience preferred — new graduates welcome.
• Genuine compassion for elderly and medically complex residents.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
• Help residents with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and repositioning.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake and output.
• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse.
• Respond to call lights quickly and with a caring attitude.
• Follow care plans, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
• Document care provided accurately each shift.
